Aksaray University (ASÜ) Faculty of Engineering, Head of Software Engineering Department, Assoc. Dr. Emre Avuçlu developed the "Hairdresser and Barber Appointment System" with his student Kevser Taptal. The system facilitates the work of customers as well as businesses.
Assoc. Prof. said that traditionally, appointments are made by phone from relevant businesses, which can sometimes cause problems. Dr. Emre Avuçlu stated that with the system they prepared, customers can make an appointment via the website or mobile application. Stating that the system can also provide functions such as free hours, suitable businesses, prices, previous appointments, payments and appointment cancellation, Avuçlu said, “In the system we have prepared, hairdressers and barbers can be searched according to their locations, areas of expertise and service scores. "At the same time, the system informs the business and the customer with appointment reminder messages," he said. Stating that the system has many advantages for business owners, Avuçlu continued: “Businesses can easily manage all appointments on a single platform, organize and cancel appointments and access customer information. Information such as employee information, working hours, occupancy rates on a day and hour basis can also be presented to the user through the system.”
Noting that the appointment system has started to be used in some businesses, ASÜ Faculty Member emphasized that they continue to produce similar projects for public use and that they are currently working on a project that will save bills in public units.
