SOFTWARE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

A 4-year education-training program is implemented in the Software Engineering Department within the Faculty of Engineering of Aksaray University, as well as the Thesis Master's program in the Department of Software Engineering, which is active within the Institute of Science and Technology of Aksaray University. In our department, 2 Associate Professors and 2 Drs. There are a total of 6 permanent faculty members, including a faculty member and 2 research assistants. There are Computer and Project laboratories within our department. Watching lectures in existing laboratories, on the internet, various computer programming languages, operating systems, databases and applications, etc. Training is given about. The education and training plans implemented in our department are designed to follow the developments in science and technology. In this regard, in addition to providing our students with information about the basics of the software, we also provide training opportunities to enable them to specialize in certain subjects. In the department, joint education and internship opportunities are offered to students in order to gain sector experience as well as theoretical knowledge. Students have the opportunity to experience real-world applications by interning at leading software companies. With the Cooperative Education project, students participate in a programmed education strategy that reinforces their professional development by working in contracted workplaces in a field related to their profession during the 7th and 8th semesters of their undergraduate education. The course content of the department covers the basic principles in the field of computer and software engineering. These contents include topics such as mobile programming, game programming, web-based application development, database management, algorithms, artificial intelligence, embedded systems, microcontrollers, computer networks, security and software test analysis. In these courses, students both learn theoretical knowledge and gain practical experience through projects and laboratory studies. In this way, graduates acquire a wide range of knowledge and develop skills appropriate to the demands in the sector.
